அழியும் பூதர்களைக் கண்டு சினந்தார்
அழற்கண்ணன் என்னும் பூதத் தலைவர்.
சூலப்படையை எறிந்தார் அரிமுகன் மேல்!
ஏலாமல் அழிந்தது ஒரு சிறு முள் போல்.
அரிமுகன் எறிந்த தடியால் அடிபட்டு
பெருகியது உதிரம் மார்பு பிளந்து!
பெரிய மலையைப் பிடுங்கிய சுமாலி
எறிந்தார் மலையை அரிமுகன் மீது.
பந்து போல அவன் அதைப் பற்றி வீச,
வந்து தாக்கியது சுமாலியின் மார்பை!
தடியுடன் பாய்ந்தார் தண்டி அவன் மீது.
தடி முறிந்தது அரிமுகனை அடித்ததும்!
வெறியுடன் குதித்தார் பூதர் தண்டி
அரிமுகனின் ஈராயிரம் தோள்கள் மீது.
வெறும் ஈயாக அவரை மதித்தான் அரிமுகன்.
உருட்டித் துடைத்து எறிந்தான் அரிமுகன்.
நூறாயிரத்து எண்மர் முன்னே சென்றனர்.
கூரிய பல கணைகளைப் பொழிந்தனர்.
பூதாகாரமான அரிமுகன் உடல் மேல்
பூமழையானது அந்தக் கணை மழை!
அடித்தும், ஒடித்தும், எடுத்தும், எறிந்தும்,
பொடித்தும் அழித்தான், அரிமுக அவுணன்.
அஞ்சி நடுங்கிய நூறாயிரத்து எண்மரும்
அக்கணமே ஓடலாயினர் புறமுதுகிட்டு.
வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.
4#12e. Singamukhan.
Azhark kaNNan threw his soolam on Singamukhan. It fell down like a small thorn without harming him. He started bleeding heavily when Singamukhan threw a daNdam on his chest. SumAli threw an uprooted mountain of Sinagmukhan. He caught hold of it and threw it back like a ball – hitting SumAli hard on his chest.
DaNdi pounced on Singamukhan with his daNdam. The daNdam broke into many pieces. DaNdi jumped on to the two thousand shoulders of Singamukan in rage. Valorous DaNdi was treated just an insect and Singamukahn crushed him using his fingers. The one thousand and eight warriors showered arrows on Singamukhan.
The rain of arrows fell on his huge body like a shower of flowers. He crushed every one by hitting, punching, boxing, breaking, throwing, kicking and stamping on them. The one thousand and eight warriors took to their heels from the battlefield!
